Visualization and Analysis of Swirling Flow in Bubble Eliminator
Bubbles and the dissolved gases in liquids greatly influence the performance of fluid power systems, coating solutions, plants in the food industry and so on. Therefore, it is important to eliminate bubbles in liquids and to prevent degradation of the quality the system performance as well as to avoid possible damage of the components. These problems are often viewed with the knowledge of the d...

متن کاملFlow visualization of the jet exiting a chevron nozzle
Control of jets has been studied for over a century and even today continues to be a significant research topic. It finds applications in various fields especially in aerospace, where enhancement of mixing characteristics of a jet can improve the performance greatly. Review articles by Gutmark et al.;1 Gutmark & Grinstein;2 Seiner et al.;3 Glezer & Amitay;4 Reynolds et al.;5 Ginevsky Vlasov & K...
متن کاملFlow visualization of vortex structure in a pulsed rectangular jet
Pulsating jet is visualized using hydrogen bubble method to clarify the vortex nature in the near field of the jet. This study focused on the development in space and time of vortex structures evolution in low aspect-ratio rectangular jet with pulsation. Pulsation means large-amplitude, low-frequency excitation which is expected to increase the mixing and spreading of the jet and to accelerate ...
متن کاملLayered Von Kármán’s swirling flow
Existence of an exact solution of the Navier-Stokes equations representing swirling flow consisting of two fluid layers is proven. It is assumed that the fluid in the bottom layer is injected into the swirl from a rotating disk. This describes the case when a disk melts in an ambient fluid and the melted fluid is removed by rotation of the disk.
